Who We Are

Player Development 1st (PD1) is a branch of the non-profit organization Lifeworks in Granger.

Lifeworks is a high school and college ministry founded in 2006, by Liz and Redford Maust. They saw a need to help young adults navigate life's biggest questions and greatest challenges. They responded by creating Lifeworks Ministry - a safe community that gathers weekly, where young adults can be loved, and discuss life issues. Over the years Lifeworks has developed new programs that aim to accomplish the same goal of doing life with others. The latest program to join the Lifeworks family is PD1.

PD1 was created in 2023 when Lifeworks saw the need for a program that helps middle and high school soccer players get to and through college. PD1 and its leadership team are dedicated to creating and sustaining a program that is dedicated to helping young soccer players reach their soccer goals while also developing them into the players every coach wants.

Our Leadership Team

Head Coach Jen Reyes

Jennifer Reyes joined the Maple Leafs women's soccer program in 2021 as an assistant coach. She graduated from Bowling Green State University, where she was a part of the women's soccer team that won the MAC regular season and MAC Championship. Reyes made the All-MAC Tournament Team two years in a row and later played professionally in Sweden and Mexico. She is now head coach of PD1 a non-profit organization. In her free time, Reyes enjoys exercising, exploring and surrounding herself with people that love and support her.

Assistant Coach Redford Maust

Redford has been blessed with the opportunity to devote over 40 years of his life to understanding how best to impact the lives of young adults. Throughout this incredible journey, he has had the privilege of organizing transformative events, such as the renowned Red Hacker basketball tournament and spring break trips to Florida with Youth for Christ. It has been a humbling experience to open the doors of his home for weekly dinner and discussion sessions, fostering connections that have left an indelible mark on countless young hearts. Guided by his faith, Redford and his wife Liz have gratefully embraced the responsibility to serve as conduits for God's purpose in the lives of these remarkable individuals.

Assistant Coach Isaac Núñez

Isaac Núñez has been a part of the LifeWorks PD1 team since it started back in November of 2022 after working 4 years in the financial field. Born and raised in Mishawaka, Indiana, Isaac was born to a Honduran father and United States mother. He played soccer at Bethel University and graduated in 2021 with a degree in Economics and Finance. 2022 was a big year for Isaac as he made the decision to leave his great career job for a life in youth ministry and has not turned back since. He has a desire to change the world one life at a time. He sees soccer as a beautiful way to connect people groups of all different walks of life.
